Ishita is a young dynamic lawyer in the fourth year of her legal practice. She has experience in the telecommunication and technology, general corporate advisory, commercial contracting and investment transaction, employment, regulatory and compliance space. She studied law at the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi after graduating in Political Science from Hindu College, University of Delhi. She is a trained journalist and has was an editor of a legal academic journal. She has also been associated with the United Nations. Prior to setting up an independent practice with Cornellia Chambers, she was working with J Sagar Associates, a well- known Indian law firm.

She has advised on matters related to data protection, telecom, technology, foreign direct investment, domestic investment, breach of contract, recovery of dues, sweat equity, employment terms, employer’s obligations and rights of employees, issues on termination of employment, social security (such as provident fund and gratuity), corporate fraud, food laws, legal metrology laws related to package commodities, stamp duty, related party transactions, demerger, tenders for government contracts, sale of real estate.

She has drafted commercial contracts, opinions, corporate policies, legal notices, replies to legal notices. Her scope of work also includes conducting due diligences and legal audits.

In the dispute resolution space, she has assisted in representing companies and individuals before the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court of India, Delhi and Gurgaon District Courts, National Green Tribunal, Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal, Regulators and Governmental Authorities. Her motto is to make law simple and easily comprehensible for her clients; and provide clear and practical legal solutions. She endeavours to use her knowledge of law to give back to the economy and society.
