Rashmita is a lawyer with diverse experience across the infrastructure, energy, regulatory and policy, dispute resolution and general corporate commercial space. Rashmita completed her LL.B. from University Law College, Bangalore University. She has previously worked with prominent Indian law firms viz. Jyoti Sagar Associates (JSA), Link Legal India Law Services & HSA Advocates.
Her dispute resolution practice covers civil, commercial, consumer, contract and environmental laws. She has represented clients before diverse fora including the Supreme Court of India, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the National Green Tribunal. Her roles have included dispute resolution strategy, drafting pleadings, legal research, briefing counsel as well as appearing and conducting matters before various fora.
On the advisory side, she has advised individuals, start-ups and various national and multinational companies on legal, regulatory, corporate, contractual and compliance related issues across a diverse array of verticals, especially in the infrastructure and energy sector. She also has considerable experience in giving strategic advice on project related issues concerning, amongst others, contractual arrangements and legal & regulatory framework to facilitate compliance and risk mitigation in conduct of their business.
In addition, she has also given legal advice and assistance to government entities in bidding processes involved in major Public Private Partnerships in the highway and ports’ sectors.
Her corporate transactional experience, amongst others, includes drafting of Concession Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, EPC and O&M contracts.
